A new market study from Companies & Market estimates that web-to-print will represent around 2017 an overall market of $869 million, with an annual 15% growth.
I find this study really interesting as :
- it confirms a previous study released last year by GIA
- it breaks former estimations done by Infotrends in 2009 : only 3 years ago, Infotrends estimated w2p market at... $200 millions, with "only" 7.5% growth per year.
This new study confirms the importance of web-to-print as a major trend in printing industry. What's new in this study is the increasing interest for w2p in Asia-Pacific area.
I'ld add that, in my own opinion, South and Latin America should be the next place to be, especially in Brazil.

Where are the numbers coming from? Do they signify cost of the software or actual print?
ReplyDeleteI think you must buy the market study to get further explanation ;-) In my own opinion, I think this figure is related to the amount of print generated from w2p systems. I don't think software license or SaaS royalties are included in this amount
